Khalida has extensive experience as a tutor and teacher in both classical and folk fields. Beginning to teach at her own Suzuki studio at the age of 15, she soon after was in demand as a tutor at National String Camps and Folk Festivals throughout Australia. At a tertiary level Khalida has coached student entrance auditions at the Australian Institute of Music and as an assistant to Dr. Susan Collins at the University of Tasmania. Her priority remains in connecting with remote and regional Australian communities and has recently tutored for the Tasmanian Youth Orchestra outreach program (TAS), at the Riverina Summer School for Strings (NSW) and various masterclasses in the Atherton Tablelands and Cairns regions (QLD). Currently she teaches a large Suzuki/European methods studio at a Melbourne Grammar school.
Khalida takes on only a very select number of private students in order to offer the best tuition possible as well as to maintain her professional performance and research commitments.Casual lessons for advanced students are welcome at any time.
