The 9th of December was met with a sweltering midday concert in Far Northern Queenland! There was much excitement leading up to this concert as it took place in the town of my birth - 'Atherton' and the wonderfully supportive crowd and community always make it a special place to perform.
The program featured Paganini's 4th Caprice, Bach's Solo Sonata No.1 in G minor and numerous duo pieces with Danish Classical Guitarist Simon Thielke who performed a spell-binding solo of Verdi/Tarrega Fantasy over themes from La Traviata.
Moments before the concert my right-hand fingers were unfortunately shut in the car door - of which bruising has yet to subside.
On the 31st of December starts the 2900km drive to Wagga Wagga to teach and perform various concerts at the Riverina Summer School. There'll be much to see on the way stopping in the towns of Bowen, Gladstone, Marcoola Beach, Coffs Harbour, Sydney and Goulburn!
